NovoSource NovoHip Surgical Guide

The surgical approach must provide adequate visualization of the patient anatomy throughout the surgical procedure. Surgeons must evaluate implant stability and orientation, range of motion, leg length, and soft tissue tension.

This surgical technique is independent of the surgical approach to the soft tissues. The NovoHip System enables surgeons to use any standard surgical approach based on their experience and preference. In all cases, patient positioning, soft tissue dissection, and hip dislocation and manipulation should provide the surgeon with adequate visualization of the acetabulum, proximal femur, and soft tissues to complete all steps in this surgical technique.

NovoSource designs and manufactures surgical implants and instruments and does not practice medicine. Each surgeon is responsible for determining which implant system and surgical technique they feel best meets the individual needs of each patient.
